Fall Transitions
Oct 15, 2024Embrace each person's transition.
That's what came to mind when I saw these trees. It's uncanny how things in nature parallel our human life (actually, not really...but that's another post!). Like humans, even trees come in all shapes, sizes, ages, styles, and colors. They each go through transitions in their own way and in their own time. Even when Mother Nature applies pressure with shortened days and cooler temps, the trees still need to follow their own path to change. They will reach their full-color potential with time and patience.
Humans are the same.
In order to bring on new behaviors and ways of being, we need to honor each human's transition process. Pressure doesn't often lead to long-term change as external forces don't speak to our soul. It's intrinsic motivation that drives real change and prepares people for more. Like the trees, humans may see glimpses of change with external pressure, but only when people's values and beliefs align will the true color change happen - from the inside out.
How can you honor the transition?
If you're leading people through change: Provide support. Provide the right environment. Be patient. It's not about you, it's about them.
If you want to change: Stop comparing your journey to someone else's. Look within, you have all the answers.
Transition through asking new questions.
If you ask the same question you'll get some version of the same answer. If you truly are ready for change, the transition begins when you 1) create space, and 2) ask new, bigger questions. Not sure what that looks like? Ask us. That's the power of a certified professional coach. Happy Transitioning!
